The pair first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted smooching on a yacht during an Italian vacation together with friends over the July 4th holiday weekend.

The duo was certainly not afraid to pack on the PDA, but apparently it’s all over and the couple has split after not even two months together.
An insider revealed to Us Weekly that Efron and Rodriguez had a tiff while partying it up in Ibiza, Spain — which happens to be the last place they were photographed together. Earlier this month the pair was spotted cuddling and walking on the beach at the party destination.

“Michelle is going to do her own thing. Zac knew this about her when he got with her,” a second source revealed to the mag. “He’s very into her, though, and perhaps more than she’s into him.”
However, despite the fact that their romance is now dead, apparently the That Awkward Moment actor still wants to be friends with Rodriguez.
“Zac still wants to be with her,” the first source added.

Their Italian and Spanish vacations were not the only time that Efron and Rodriguez turned up the heat. The pair was also spotted stateside after the actor was seen leaving his lady’s home after a sleepover.
We have to say, they seemed like an unlikely pair from the start, and not just because of the 10-year age difference.
