The Good Wife star Josh Charles is going to be a dad

Josh Charles must be a very happy man right now because he and his lovely wife Sophie Flack are expecting their first child together, The Good Wife alum’s rep revealed to Us Weekly.

Hollywood is experiencing a baby boom at the moment, and the couple are thrilled to be a part of it because Flack’s baby bump is rapidly growing.

The pair, who married just last September during a private wedding in Manhattan, New York City, New York, spent their weekend attending pre-Emmys events, including the Emmy Awards Nominees Reception on Saturday, according to E! News (what a great way to celebrate a pregnancy).

Flack is a former New York City Ballet dancer and author of the 2011 book Bunheads while Charles is best known for his role as Will Gardner on CBS’ hit drama The Good Wife, although he began his on-screen acting career in the ’80s and even starred alongside the late Robin Williams in the film Dead Poets Society.

The actor wrapped up his five-season run of the legal drama in March, when his character was dramatically killed off, but he is nominated for the role in the upcoming Emmy awards.

“I just want to clarify because I think it’s an important distinction,” Charles said during a panel discussion after the episode aired, Us Weekly reports. “I didn’t ask to be let out of anything. My contract was up, and it was time to be thinking about the people close to me. I did a lot of soul searching. I was ready for something different. That’s no reflection for how I feel about the show, it’s just more of what I want to do with my life.”
