Former Miss Spain Patricia Yurena Rodríguez has come out as gay, which makes her the first national beauty queen to come out.
Rodríguez is the country’s first Miss España contestant to win the pageant twice, and a runner-up in last year’s Miss Universe competition, which was held in Moscow, Russia. But she’s also the first beauty queen to ever come out as gay, and she’s chosen to do so with a seductive snap.

“I published the picture completely spontaneously and in an impulsive manner. Thank you for all your support,” she tweeted, according to the New York Daily News.
“I don’t regret what I did and I did it because I’m happy about what’s going on in my life,” Spanish newspaper La Opinión de Tenerife quoted Rodríguez as saying.
Rodríguez is a two-time winner of the Spanish beauty contest, winning the trophy for the first time in 2008 and most recently in 2013.
