Jimmy Kimmel takes the metro to the Emmys

Jimmy Kimmel may be up for a Primetime Emmy Award tonight, but the super-chill late-night host proves he’s a pretty down-to-earth dude by hopping the metro to get to the show.

The Primetime Emmy Awards are widely considered the biggest night in television, so, well, they’re kind of a big deal. So the fact that Kimmel decided to skip the theatrics and just take the metro? It pretty much solidifies the notion that he’s one of the most humble guys in Hollywood.

Whether Kimmel wins the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series tonight or not, the late-night host’s modest means of getting to the show, coupled with his tribute to Williams, make him a winner in our book any day of the week.

Although Kimmel has been nominated frequently in the past, his last Emmy win was in 1999, at which time he won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host. At the time, he was hosting the hilarious Win Ben Stein’s Money.
