Katherine Heigl is doing what she can to make sure everyone knows she is no longer difficult. The actress has apparently decided not to be loud and public about a lawsuit against Duane Reade. The actress and the company “have come to an agreement” in her lawsuit.

According to Reuters, Heigl accused Duane Reade of posting a photo of her leaving their store on its social media accounts. Heigl was apparently in New York filming her new TV show when the photo was snapped by a paparazzo. The store, co-owned by Walgreens, posted the photo with the caption, “Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can’t resist shopping #NYC’s favorite drugstore.”
A lawyer for Heigl confirmed that she had filed a lawsuit against the company back in April. Although the settlement is confidential, Heigl’s attorney, Peter Haviland, said it is “mutually beneficial” for Heigl and Duane Reade.
However, Duane Reade will be making a donation to Heigl’s animal welfare foundation, which was founded after her brother was killed in a car crash.
Katherine Heigl used to be an angry working mom >>
Heigl was looking for $6 million from the company for posting the photo.
Heigl left Hollywood shortly after her time on Grey’s Anatomy and in the romantic comedies that followed came to an end. She recently said the decision was because she was feeling like a bad mother.
“I felt like my priorities were messed up,” Heigl said earlier this month. “I was putting so much time and energy into just my work, but I was raised [to believe] that family comes first.”
You can see Heigl (presumably not being difficult) when she returns to TV in State of Affairs, which goes to air in November.
