Let this be a warning to any would-be Nicki Minaj ‘Anaconda’ copycats

by

As if the video for Nicki Minaj‘s new single, “Anaconda,” wasn’t cheeky (ahem) enough already, it just got a whole lot more so. A new remix of the song du derriere takes the track and adds some pretty nasty, um, fart sound effects to the vid.

Nicki Minaj’s MTV VMAs malfunction reportedly staged >>

If you have been living under a rock since Sunday night and haven’t yet heard the original version of the song, “Anaconda,” it is, put simply, a video ode to the booty. The video is comprised of a whole lot of butt shaking — in poses you didn’t ever want (or need) to see. Minaj flaunts her assets (pun intended) in tiny getups in different locations for the duration of the video. In case you weren’t sure, Nicki Minaj likes her butt!

And now, thanks to South African comedy duo, Derick Watts and the Sunday Blues, “Anaconda” is not only a visual ode to the butt, but an audio one, too. How much better does it get than that? Er. Yeah. The entire soundtrack to the original song is lost and replaced by pretty disgusting farting noises. Just what the world needed.

While definitely amusing and smirk-inducing, this new remix is also definitely pretty gross. Take it from us: If you are looking to maintain your dignity, steer clear of hitting play. Or, turn down the volume. Way to keep it classy, Ms. Minaj.
