Nicole Kidman is absolutely thrilled to be married to Keith Urban, but admits there’s one part of meeting the love of your life in your later years that makes her sad.
Speaking to The Edit, the actress explained her singing spouse always says to her, “We’re lucky we met late in life. The sadness of that is we can’t have six kids together, but the greatness of that is [we are done] with all the other stuff, so now we are totally present for this.”
Kidman added, “That’s a great thing to hear from a man.”

The pair, who tied the knot in 2006 when she was 39 and he was 38, recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. Giving his beauty an anniversary shout-out from the stage during a concert, Urban said sweetly, “Eight years, baby girl. This song is for you. I love you so much.”
“I had two girlfriends sitting with me and they were like, ‘Bitch!'” Kidman shared of the faux jealousy her friends in attendance expressed at the adorable moment. “I went, ‘Hey! I’ve been to hell and back!'”
Speaking of hard times she’s been through, though not specifically mentioning her 2001 divorce from Tom Cruise, Kidman shared she now has “the ability to go, ‘Okay, this too shall pass.’ Sometimes you’ve just got to navigate through pain and depression. Maybe you have a down day, but life is contrast. I’d rather feel it and know it.”

These days, Kidman and Urban have homes in both Sydney and Nashville. When they’re not working and are spending time with daughters, Sunday and Faith, they’re fond of keeping it simple by kicking back and watching some throwback television shows.
She explained, “We watch America’s Funniest Home Videos and reruns of The Brady Bunch, that’s very much our life.
“It may sound old-fashioned, but I want the family to work,” the body-confident beauty elaborated on her dedication to them all spending time together. “And I feel pain when I’m away; I literally feel a yearning and a pain. When I was younger, it was different. I’d be like, ‘Yeah I’ll go, I’ll go here, I’ll go there.’ I’m on the cusp of Gemini and Cancer and my husband says to me, ‘You’ve become more Cancer — you’re all about the family now.'”
