Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s husband Nick Gordon was arrested and charged with DUI on Thursday morning.

According to Radar Online, Gordon was involved in a crash after he attempted to change lanes while driving his BMW in Roswell, Georgia, and the vehicle struck a curb and overturned, police revealed to the outlet.

“Today, at about 11:37am, there was a single vehicle accident at Holcomb Bridge Rd (GA 140) near the intersection of Barnwell Rd involving a BMW sedan. Preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle attempted to change lanes, struck a curb and overturned, striking a fire hydrant. There were no injuries reported and no one was transported to the hospital,” Zach Frommer of the Roswell, Georgia, police department told Radar Online.

However, Gordon was arrested for DUI and the failure to maintain a lane as well as driving with a suspended license.

Whitney Houston’s daughter was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident and despite significant damage to the car, neither Gordon nor his passenger, his friend Mason Whitaker, were injured.

Brown and Gordon — the man her mother, the late Houston, raised and often referred to as her son — sparked controversy when they announced they planned to marry last year. However, the couple wed at the beginning of the year and appear to be very happy together.

They announced their news via a Twitter post earlier this year when Brown shared her with happiness with fans. She tweeted, “#HappilyMarried So #Inlove if you didn’t get it the first time that is.”

The tweet was accompanied by a picture of Brown and her beau’s hands together as they showed off their wedding rings, with Brown sporting a rather impressive custom-made Neil Lane bauble.
