Social media can be fun and it also can lead to a lot of bad judgment on the internet. Add 5 Seconds of Summer bassist and singer Calum Hood to that list.
The 18-year-old musician decided to post a (NSFW) nude video of himself on Snapchat. Snapchat supposedly deletes the sent message after 10 seconds. In reality, the social media site doesn’t really delete them, they hide them on your phone. Any tech-savvy person can retrieve the photos and post them without your consent.

So the recipient of Hood’s video recorded the incriminating evidence and then posted it on Vine for the entire world to see. It shows the Australian singer slowly pulling down his underwear to reveal his erect penis. The anonymous poster captioned the video, “CALUMS DICK IM SCREAMING #calumhood #5sos #calumsdick2k14 #calumsnudes”
Hood admitted that the video was of him with a series of humorous tweets. He handled the PR debacle like a pro.

Even his bandmates got in on the joke. Michael Clifford tweeted that he found nudes of fellow group member Luke Hemmings. Instead, it was a nude man asleep with pizza in his hand.

The group has found international fame after opening for One Direction in Australia last year. Their hit single “She Looks So Perfect” has been a huge success for them as well.
