According to E! News, the crash apparently happened on the Sunset Strip while he was being followed by photographers. Beckham crashed his motorcycle while trying to “avoid hitting another vehicle that had suddenly swerved towards him amid the ruckus.” The Beckhams are reportedly a hot commodity in the Los Angeles area and are often chased by photographers.
Although Beckham crashed his motorcycle, news is mixed about whether he was injured in the incident. A source told E! News that “David is OK,” but TMZ said that he was later spotted in a cast. Beckham was reportedly leaving a tattoo parlor when he was followed, and he brought his bike back to the store after it all happened.
Even though the former soccer player seemed to be mostly fine after the crash, the incident may have bigger repercussions. Beckham’s wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, rose to fame around the same time as the death of Princess Diana, and her group was always outspoken about paparazzi following celebs.
