The 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards had some surprising recipients, and those that caused the biggest stirs were when former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was named Philanthropist of the Year and Kim Kardashian took home the gong for GQ‘s Woman of the Year at its annual gala in London, England, on Tuesday night.
However, Kanye West has some news for all those haters who think his wife is an undeserving recipient of the award and has suggested they don’t understand the power of social media.

The Mirror reports that during an interview with the Metro backstage, the “Stronger” rapper raged, saying, “It’s well deserved, for all those tight motherf****** who don’t want to give her any credit.”
“And it’s time. She is a legend! They don’t understand what social media is so they only want to give it to an actress and blah blah blah and she is a legend.”
And West was not done speaking his mind, saying that his wife deserves plenty of respect and recognition for what she does and who she is.
“They need to respect that and understand that and that’s what we are doing in everybody’s faces. So middle finger to all the uptight people who don’t want to stand up for Kim mother****** Kardashian!” he added.

And speaking of awesome, Kardashian wowed on the night in a super-revealing Ralph and Russo beaded skirt and Atsuko Kudo latex bodysuit.
But The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also shares her husband’s sentiments as she revealed during her acceptance speech.
