Justin Bieber is not exactly a model citizen and when he was arrested in Toronto, Canada, late last year for allegedly assaulting a limo driver, it didn’t come as much of a shock. However, it appears that the pop star has once again managed to get off the hook.
On Monday, prosecutors dropped an assault charge against the Canadian-born singer at the request of the Crown.

“On Jan. 29, 2014, Justin Bieber was charged with assault in relation to an incident in Toronto that had allegedly occurred on Dec. 29, 2013. Today we appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto at which time that charge was withdrawn at the request of the Crown,” Bieber’s attorney, Brian Greenspan, said in a statement to ABC.
“We welcome the decision of the office of the Crown Attorney to withdraw the charge, having reached the conclusion that there was no reasonable prospect of conviction,” the statement continued. “We have always maintained Mr. Bieber’s innocence. The withdrawal of the charge is the product of a thorough and thoughtful review of the evidence by responsible prosecutors. We thank them for their consideration.”

No doubt Bieber will be rejoicing at this news, because he has been involved in a string of incidents lately, including an altercation at arcade and sports bar Dave & Buster’s, as well as an unrelated charge of dangerous driving that saw him collide with a van earlier this month in Ontario, Canada. Bieber will have to appear in court on Sept. 29 to address the dangerous driving incident.
Oh please — can this be the last time we read about Bieber getting into trouble with the law, and then getting off the hook?
