Fans of Sons of Anarchy might love this “Bohemian Rhapsody” cover, but we don’t

In honor of its final season, Sons of Anarchy has commissioned a new cover of everyone’s favorite song to rock out to, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” There’s just one problem, though… it sucks.

Don’t worry, y’all: Charlie Hunnam is doing OK >>

We honestly can’t shake the shivers we get from the Forest Rangers’ cover of our favorite jam. At the very beginning, it feels haunting and evil. We’re left feeling like someone did something dirty to our souls. Soon after, though, things take an even darker turn. Suddenly, the singer goes from sounding like Satan having his way with our ears to… well, Kid Rock.

Sons of Anarchy baby names! Because, why not? >>

We’re sure many Sons of Anarchy fans totally love Kid Rock. With stringy hair, gas station shades and a face only mama (and possibly Miley Cyrus) could love, Kid definitely has a certain type of fan. So, it’s possible we’re just not his key demographic. But, they must recognize that Kid Rock is an acquired taste. Channeling him so hardcore at the end of the song seems like a really poor musical decision. We’re sure there’s a whole subculture of people eating it up, though. We hope.

Of course, we recognize the significance of this song as the theme for the show’s final season. Of all the trouble the gang stirs up, murder doesn’t seem like that big of a deal anymore. But, just how bad can they get and how bad could the consequences be? Sons of Anarchy‘s final season premieres Sept. 9 on FX. You can hear the crazy-weird song over at Billboard, but we don’t recommend it.
