Another former football player is joining the Good Morning America ranks. On Thursday, E! News reported that retired NFL player Tim Tebow is going to be a contributor on the morning talk show.
ABC announced that the Heisman Trophy winner will appear on the new “Motivate Me Monday” segments. Tebow will mix it up between on-location and in-studio appearances to feature individuals who have stories of triumph over adversity.

This new gig will be in addition to his multiyear broadcasting deal with ESPN. His television job is working out a lot better than his athletic career after he became a free agent last year.
After a successful college run at the University of Florida, Tebow struggled to find his place in the professional game with several teams, including the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets. At the time, his intention was to cover college football while trying to make it back to the NFL.
He tweeted in late December, “I am so excited that ESPN has given me this incredible opportunity. When I was six years old I fell in love with the game of football and while I continue to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL, this is an amazing opportunity to be a part of the unparalleled passion of college football and the SEC.”

It now seems that his path is set in stone with a strong lineup of broadcasting jobs in the ABC family. His addition brings about the second former NFL player to the GMA roster. Michael Strahan continues to host Live! with Kelly and Michael, his Fox sports gig and a contributing role on GMA.
That’s a lot of muscle in the early morning hours.
