Men are always looking for creative ways to propose to their girlfriends, but this is one for the record books. Million Dollar Listing New York star, Ryan Serhant, shut down Times Square on Sunday morning to make it a memorable day for his girlfriend, Emilia Bechrakis.
The TV personality shared with E! News how he made it all happen. He said, “No one has ever done something like this. But I’m only going to propose once in my life, so I wanted to make sure that I did something special. I wasn’t going to propose like a p***y.”

In order to get Broadway’s most famous address all to himself, Serhant had to work with the New York City Mayor’s Office and the Times Square Alliance. They gave the reality star an hour beginning at 7 a.m. EST.
He shared a photo of the couple embracing on Instagram.
Serhant captioned the picture, “Yesterday morning I shut down Times Square and a little boy from Texas (me) proposed to a little girl from Greece (Emilia) in this crazy city called New York. I need to say thank you to the help of 50 NYPD officers, the Mayor’s office, and the Times Square Alliance. We had the heart of this city completely to ourselves. Like I’ve always said… GO BIG OR GO HOME.”

He was thrilled at the outcome, “It worked! This is the most incredible day! Words really can’t describe what I’m feeling.”

The real estate brokers’ romance has been chronicled on the Bravo TV show. Last season, they suffered a few setbacks, which included a short-term breakup for the couple. Of course, the proposal was filmed for Season 4 of the show, so fans will get to see the happy ending.
The bride-to-be was ecstatic, telling E! News, “This was a complete surprise. I was not expecting this at all. He’s really outdone himself!”
Bechrakis should be excited; Serhant gifted her with a gorgeous custom-designed cushion-cut diamond.
