Fans know that Gwyneth Paltrow takes her duties at Goop very seriously. The actress is now taking that “hostess with the mostest” title to the next level by heading a dinner party for the President of the United States.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the Iron Man 3 star is set to host President Obama and the Democratic National Committee at her home on Oct. 9. An exclusive email for the fundraiser went out to select invitees. The invitation said, “Following the reception, President Obama will take your questions at an intimate dinner.”

For anyone wishing to attend the event, seats are available from $1,000 to $32,400. The money raised will go towards midterm elections in November.
This isn’t the first time Paltrow has hosted a fundraiser for the president. She helmed an event in 2012 during Obama’s re-election campaign.
Paltrow isn’t the only celeb to have supported President Obama during fundraising campaigns. Grey’s Anatomy creator, Shonda Rhimes, raised money in July for the Democrats and Sarah Jessica Parker also hosted a dinner in her New York City home two years ago. That event generated an A-List Manhattan crowd, including Vogue‘s Anna Wintour, designer Michael Kors, Meryl Streep and Bravo TV’s Andy Cohen.

One person who probably won’t be attending the Goop founder’s event is Martha Stewart. She recently griped to Porter magazine about Paltrow’s attempt to be a lifestyle expert, “She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.”
Even if Paltrow isn’t the next Stewart, she sure has a VIP guest list for home entertaining.
