Jimmy Fallon showed his sweet, gentlemanly side with Barbra Streisand on the Tonight Show Monday night, giving her his desk to sit at.
Streisand made her return to late-night TV, appearing on Fallon’s show after a long 50-year break from late-night talk shows. The last time Streisand was seen on late-night television was in 1963, when she did her last appearance as a guest on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show, Gawker reported.

Starting her visit off to Fallon’s show with a bang, Streisand fittingly danced with the funny host to The Roots’ cover of “Barbra Streisand” before he graciously offered his own desk for her to sit behind.
“This is the first time in over 50 years you’re here, why don’t you sit behind the desk,” Fallon told Streisand, and after she asked him if he was sure about that, he quipped, “Let’s be honest, you’re never coming back here, so let’s do this… this is special.”

Streisand’s decision to come back after such a long absence was to promote her latest duets album, Partners. To show a sample of her work, the legendary star sang a medley of songs with Fallon, where he filled in for several of her singing partners on the album. After the amazing duet, where the pair sang Elvis Presley, Michael Bublé and Blake Shelton tunes, they sat down to discuss their performance.
“Actually, I was very impressed with you,” Streisand told Fallon. “You’re very good.”
Then, Fallon admitted that he wasn’t sure how Streisand would act on his show and said, “I thought you might be a nightmare, or a diva. But, you were nice to everybody here. You are allowed to be a diva. What did you do with Barbra Streisand?”

But Streisand revealed that she leads a very normal life with her husband James Brolin.
“I’m quite ordinary,” she said. “We lead a simple life. We don’t really like the big-time stardom thing. We stay home most of the time. We take little trips in a truck… my husband drives.”
