All the songs that should be included on Whitney Houston Live

It’s been only a few years since Whitney Houston passed away, but her voice, legacy and impact still live on strong, and that’s without Auto-Tune. On Tuesday, Sept. 16, it was announced that a CD/DVD collection of Houston’s best live performances will be released on Nov. 10.

Happy birthday, Whitney Houston: The icon’s eight best musical moments >>

Titled Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances, the project is currently available for preorder as a limited edition fan bundle with an exclusive poster. To celebrate the big announcement, Team Houston repped the singer with a fan testimonial video collage uploaded to her official website. In the clip, several fans from all around the world gush about their favorite Houston performance. But the praise doesn’t end there. Earlier this year, industry honcho Clive Davis spoke about the project, emphasizing that he wanted everyone to know “exactly why during her time she was considered the greatest contemporary singer in the world.”

Even though a full track listing for the project has yet to be revealed, SheKnows decided to round up a few of the late icon’s most impressive performances, in hope that these numbers will be included on the upcoming collection. Stop what you’re doing and rejoice in what was one of the world’s most influential voices around.

Whitney Houston’s second single, “Saving All My Love For You,” was a cover of Marilyn McCoo’s hit tune and earned her multiple Grammy Awards, an American Music Award for Favorite R&B/Soul Video and even won her an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. Press play and see why.

We’ve all heard this song over and over again, but nobody does it like Whitney. In this particular rendition, the icon slightly strays away from the album version, churning out some vocal acrobatics shortly after the bridge’s mega-belt. Plus, who doesn’t love that final attitude-filled note? Too good to be true.

Houston proved that she didn’t need smoke or mirrors to pull off a show-stopping number. It was all about that voice. In her 1994 American Music Awards performance, Houston pulled off one heck of a medley of “I Loves You, Porgy,” “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” and “I Have Nothing.” It’s not just about her singing it well. She just does it ever so flawlessly.
