There seems to be no limit to the number of times a passionate kiss between Nicholas Sparks characters can capture our attention. These exclusive posters for the novelist’s most recent film adaptation are no exception.
And they have us thinking all kinds of naughty thoughts about the handsome lead.
James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan play star-crossed lovers in The Best of Me, a sure-to-be-tear-jerker about two high-school sweethearts torn apart by socioeconomic limitations, disapproving parents and a tragic gun accident. After 20 years apart, Dawson (played by the absolutely amazing-looking Marsden) and Amanda (Monaghan) reunite at a funeral in their hometown to find that the proverbial sparks are still there.
However, this being a Sparks movie, you know a long-awaited reunion isn’t going to be as easy as all that.
As the couple reminisces and canoodles, they discover that the forces that kept them apart in their past are still very much a part of their reunited present.

Since Sparks is spanning 20 years here, the parts of Dawson and Amanda are double cast. Marsden and Monaghan play the couple in the present, while Luke Bracey and Liana Liberato play the younger version — which means two romantic couples for the price of one! Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams can’t possibly hold a candle to a double-whammy romance like that!
