He may have starred in the knockout TV series, Breaking Bad, and he may have won a Tony for his Broadway performance in All the Way, but Cranston has been hiding his secret passion. Until now. That’s right: The actor is taking on a one-man show about… baseball.

No, really.

In the six-minute commercial for MLB on TBS, Cranston dramatizes the entire baseball postseason, from prep to the big game, all while narrating his journey to create this inspiring video.

“I want to put the audience in the heads of these athletes,” Cranston explains.

Cranston then details his mastermind team of collaborators who helped create the one-man show. The actor says he even went as far as to bring in real concessionaires to sell snacks in the audience. Unfortunately, as we see, that didn’t go so well for an in-character Cranston. “Well, he works in the lobby now. At intermission. It’s better for everyone,” Cranston says.

The Breaking Bad star then gets some ballet lessons for help with his movement and rotation on the field. Who knew the guy was so graceful? OK, he’s not really. At all. Which is why it’s so much fun to watch.

“Take me out to the ball game. Take me out to the crowd,” Cranston belts in the middle of the field, as any Shakespearean actor would. In fact, Cranston goes through the entire song to close out the video in the most dramatic conclusion possible.

“What can I say? This is the postseason.”

It’s hard to pick out the best parts of this video, since every moment of it is gold. Cranston is proving time and time again he can do no wrong. Even in a TBS commercial.
