HBO is working with Girls creator and star Lena Dunham on a new documentary about a tailoring company that makes suits specifically designed for the LGBTQ community.
According to Vanity Fair, . The documentary will follow the story of some of the company’s transgender clients as they have custom suits made, specifically examining the tailoring process for those with complex gender identities.

“We were totally blown away when Lena’s team first reached out to us — the art we practice is so specialized that it was hard to believe heavy hitters were taking an interest,” Bindle & Keep founder and owner Daniel Friedman told the magazine about hearing about the film.
In addition to designing suits for gay marriage ceremonies, the company has also done styling for high-profile members of Netflix’s his series Orange Is the New Black. When Friedman began the company, his goal was to provide tailoring to those communities that weren’t being served by other tailoring establishments.

Now, Bindle & Keep makes suits for the gay and transgender community. But the company has also seen a rise in customers of all types, thanks to a reputation for building strong customer relationships. Due to the increase in demand for their suits, Friedman is already planning to expand beyond New York and to areas like the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, D.C., and Toronto.
Undoubtedly the new documentary will bring more attention to the unique tailor, which may prompt a need for even more franchises across the world.
