Is that you, Christopher Walken? Here’s his first pic from Peter Pan Live

Christopher Walken is going all out for his upcoming role as Captain Hook in NBC‘s Peter Pan Live.

We barely even recognized the iconic actor in one of the first images released of the upcoming production.

Single no more: Girls star Allison Williams is engaged

With his hook raised and in his full red coat dressed to the nines, he definitely appears ready to battle Peter Pan, who will be played by Girls actress, Allison Williams. Pan, on the other hand, looks a little unprepared with that tiny dagger. Good thing he can fly. Speaking of which, where’s Tinkerbell?

Producer Neil Meron shared the photo on Twitter on Wednesday.

The musical rendition of the classic story is based on the version that opened on Broadway in 1954.

Though Walken is a veteran theater actor, he isn’t as comfortable as you’d imagine with his new role as Hook. The actor told EW, “I’m not a good singer. The songs are done almost like patter. Think Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady.”

He praised Williams, on the other hand, calling her “wonderful” and complimenting her singing abilities.

Aside from the image of Walken, NBC also announced some major casting decisions for Peter Pan Live this week.

Wendy Darling, who Peter whisks off to Neverland, will be played by Taylor Louderman. Louderman already has quite the list of Broadway credits, including the lead in Bring It On: The Musical.

News was also released that they’d cast Alanna Saunders as Tiger Lily, the Native American who is captured by Captain Hook. Saunders’ previous credits include Gypsy and A Chorus Line.

Peter Pan Live is heading to television from Smash and The Sound of Music Live! veterans, Meron and Craig Zadan. The production is set to air on Dec. 4 on NBC.
