Oh no, dawg: Randy Jackson’s wife files for divorce

Another celeb marriage bites the dust. After 18 years of marriage, Randy Jackson and his wife Ericka Riker have decided to call it quits.

TMZ reported on Friday, Sept. 26, that the former American Idol judge’s wife had filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

Randy Jackson finally ditches American Idol

According to the site, Riker recently filed documents that will officially end her marriage, and she wants full custody of their 17-year-old son, Jordan, and to share joint legal custody with her soon-to-be ex-husband. The pair also shares a daughter, Zoe, but since she is of age there is no custody battle over her.

Reports also suggest that Riker wants spousal support, as well as wanting her husband to pay all of her legal fees.

Nicki Minaj on Idol: We’re required to hurt people’s feelings

We have to say, we’re sad to hear this news because the couple really appeared to be so happy together. Jackson, who served on the American Idol panel of judges for 12 seasons before leaving in 2013, married Riker in December 1995. This was Jackson’s second marriage, as he was previously married to Elizabeth Jackson, with whom he shares daughter Taylor.

And now that it is all over, apparently Erika Jackson is asking to restore her name to Erika Riker, the New York Post’s Page Six reports.

Unfortunately, the news about Jackson and his wife’s divorce is just one of the many reports on celebs who decided to call it quits this month. Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon decided to end their marriage, Kardashian momager Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner finally made their split official and Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose bid farewell to their marriage this week, too.
