Vanessa Williams has been waiting a long time to find her knight in shining armor, and it looks like he finally came — in the form of an accountant from Buffalo, New York.

According to People, Williams made the announcement while filming the Sept. 30 episode of the Queen Latifah Show.
“Vanessa, I have been trying to have a conversation with you ladies and gents, but I am blinded by the light coming from that bling ring on your finger,” Latifah said to Williams.
“Oh, sorry, darling,” Williams answered. “I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen. I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings.”
Williams recently revealed to Oprah her childhood trauma and is working to move past that and get on with her life, and it looks like she is doing it with fiancé Jim Skrip.
The third time may be the charm for the actress, who has been married twice before. She met Skrip halfway around the world — even though their homes are closer than they realized.
“He’s a guy I met a year and a half ago when I was on vacation with my daughter in Egypt,” Williams said pre-engagement, according to Us Weekly. “You go across the world to find somebody who’s six hours away.”
“He was in real estate and, back in the day, he was an accountant.”
