On Saturday around 8 p.m., Remini was driving her BFF’s new SUV on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, when they were hit by an alleged drunken driver. And luckily, while neither of them was hurt during the incident, it did leave them both very shaken up.
The moms probably got even more of a fright because their kids were in the backseat of the car. Before the accident, Lopez shared a picture of her twins Maximilian and Emme in the backseat of the car with Remini’s daughter Sofia.

According to TMZ, the stars were rear-ended by the intoxicated driver when they were stopped at a red light on Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway. Apparently, the driver then sped from the scene but was later caught by police just a short distance away. The man is reportedly facing DUI and hit-and-run charges.
The American Idol judge took to Instagram on Saturday to inform her fans of the scary incident. Since JLo has become newly single, she and Remini have been inseparable. The pair also were spotted hitting the town together on Thursday for a girls’ night at West Hollywood’s Ago Restaurant.
