Diem Brown can’t catch a break in her fight against cancer. The MTV reality star was hospitalized last Thursday due to a blockage in her kidneys.
People magazine is reporting that Brown was supposed to start chemotherapy on Tuesday, but she found out the cancer had returned for a third time. She didn’t realize that the “excruciating back pain” she had been suffering from was actually a result of her kidney tumor.

She explained, “They told me there I had complete blockage of my left kidney and 75 percent blockage of my right because of swelling and tumors, so they had to do a surgery and put in stents so things could flow normally again.”
Brown is surrounded by the love of her friends and family, including BFF, Alicia Quarles, who works for E! News. The reporter confirmed that Brown was released from the hospital on Tuesday and is showing her super-human strength.
“I came into Diem’s apartment this morning with my friend Julie to take her to the hospital. To our shock, Diem moved the couch! [while redecorating her apartment].”
Another avenue of support is on-again, off-again boyfriend, Chris “CT” Tamburello, who has been an anchor for Brown through each cancer battle. He posted a sweet photo of the duo sleeping in the hospital room while holding hands.
He captioned the picture, “Sometimes just being there for someone can be the difference between a good and bad day. @diembrown could definitely use a few.”

The photo also included the medical fund link that has been set up to help with her increasing medical bills. As of press time, over $67,000 has been donated.

As Quarles summed up, “Diem’s friends have been amazing which is a testament to the kind of wonderful person she is. We’ve become an army of caregivers led by her sister Megan… we are all trying to be as good a friend to her as she’s been to us.”
