Bethenny Frankel is sort of headed back to reality TV

The rumors are not true. For fans hoping that Bethenny Frankel would return to the Housewives franchise that made her famous, the story is taking a turn in a different direction.

The TV personality appeared on SiriusXM Radio on Wednesday with Jenny Hutt to set the record straight that she is not returning to The Real Housewives of New York City.

She explained, “I’m going in and out of Bravo, I’m talking to Andy [Cohen] about two different projects, because he’s got a production company now… I haven’t signed or decided to do anything. But it’s not what everyone thinks it is.”

Frankel was pretty vague about the projects she was discussion with Cohen, but it sounds like they want to continue to work together. The reality star not only was a part of RHONYC, she had her own spin-off series, Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy.

Even though the Skinnygirl mogul had her own talk show, Bethenny, canceled in February after one season, she’s not ruling out reality television just yet.

“I don’t know that I’m going back to reality TV. There are some shows that I’m talking about that have a little bit of structure in reality. But if you’re asking me if I would ever do that — or if I would be afraid to do that because of [that] — I would say no. Because whether it’s write books or do interviews — I haven’t really done interviews in a long time, this is the first week because of the book… If I’m going through something negative, very often I can help somebody else who’s going through something negative,” said Frankel.

Frankel left RHONYC in 2010 after three seasons.
