Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio made the most beautiful onscreen couple when they starred as lovers, Rose and Jack, in the film, Titanic, and since that moment, there has been speculation as to whether all that onscreen chemistry was just fake.

Now, 16 years later, Winslet is opening up about her relationship with DiCaprio and whether or not anything romantic ever happened between them.
During an interview with Marie Claire UK for its November issue, Winslet explained, “I think the reason that friendship works is because there was never any romantic thing.”
Theactress continued to dent our dreams when she clarified that there has never been anything romantic between them.

“It’s so disappointing for people to hear that, because in the soap opera of the Kate and Leo story we fell in love at first sight and had a million snogs, but actually we never did,” she continued. “He always saw me as one of the boys. I’ve never really been a girly-girl.”
Winslet touched on their friendship, saying, “We needed each other to lean on because we were very young and working all kinds of crazy bloody hours and it was a shock to the system.”
Yet, despite the lack of amorous feelings, the pair has remained very good friends for almost two decades and DiCaprio has previously gushed about how great his former co-star is, as well as performing the honors and walking her down the aisle when she married her second husband, Ned Rocknroll.
