Hilary Duff is speaking out on Aaron Carter‘s lovey-dovey tweets about her and reveals that she’s quite uncomfortable about them. We have to say that honestly, we would really be creeped out by them too.
The Lizzie McGuire star stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and finally addressed the subject of those pesky tweets by her ex-boyfriend. Duff actually told host Andy Cohen that Carter’s professed love messages did not exactly make her feel giddy with glee.

“It’s… ugh! I don’t know,” Duff said. “I don’t know what to say about it. It was so many years ago. I literally haven’t seen him in… so, it’s uncomfortable.”
Carter’s tweets said things like, “Don’t be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever… Like me…” and, “I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don’t care what ANY of you think.”

Then, after the telling tweets, he wrote, “That tweet just gave me an anxiety attack.”
Cohen tried to defend the lovelorn actor by saying that “it’s nice to be felt” in Twitter, but Duff was not convinced, although she agreed that yes, “it’s nice to be felt.” Not being familiar with the situation, fellow guest Giada De Laurentis inquired about her old relationship and asked for details. “Did you date him? Is that what happened?”
Hilary Duff split with Mike Comrie: “He never did anything!”
“Oh, yes! Oh yes, yes, yes, I did,” Duff said and then dryly added, “When I was 13,” and yes he “was very sweet… when I was 13.”
Meanwhile, Carter himself admitted that his messages may be too much and that he should probably back off with his public (and frankly, just way too creepy) declarations of love.

“[Hilary doesn’t] know me and I don’t know her. I just need to shut up now about it. I think it’s time,” Carter told WENN in a recent interview. “She’s got a kid and she’s married and I’m not trying to be that dude. That’s not my intention.”
However, Carter did not fully let go and admitted that he will always have feelings for Duff, even though he probably has zero chance with her. “Hilary will always hold a very special place in my heart.”
Dude, move on. There are plenty of fish out there, seriously.
