Neil Patrick Harris’ bucket list is now complete (VIDEO)

Since the end of How I Met Your Mother, it looks like Neil Patrick Harris has decided to become a full-time host. His latest gig? The 2015 Oscars.

Neil Patrick Harris reveals the man who cemented his gayness

Harris hasn’t exactly given up his screen roles — in just this year, he has appeared in both Gone Girl and A Million Ways to Die in the West, not to mention his stage role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch — but he appears to enjoy the hosting role, according to Rolling Stone. He hosted the Tonys last year and the Emmys in 2009 and 2013.

Harris, who was recently married, made the announcement via a video, in which he answers a phone as the camera scrolls to his bucket list, which includes “Jump out of a plane,” “Move to NYC,” “Win a Tony Award” and “Sleep in Cinderella’s Castle,” among other goals. It appears the only bucket list item that Harris hasn’t yet completed is to host the Oscars. During the phone call, he circles his last item.

The actor isn’t a stranger to the Academy Awards. In 2010, he sang a song during the show, but has not yet been nominated for the award. Howewer, he is halfway to an EGOT: with a Tony Award and multiple Emmy Awards — for his roles on Glee and as host of the Tonys.

Harris will have some big shoes to fill for this year’s Oscars ceremony. In 2014, host Ellen DeGeneres brought in 43 million viewers to the show. According to Variety, DeGeneres opted not to host two years in a row.

The 2015 Oscars will air on ABC on Feb. 22.
