Jon Gosselin’s story is a classic rags-to-riches… to rags tale

It hasn’t been a happy ending for Jon Gosselin after his divorce from Kate Gosselin. He’s gone from earning millions per year from his TLC show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, to homeless.

According to Us Weekly, the former reality star wasn’t able to keep up with the payments on his rental. As a result, he’s out on his own.

A source told the gossip magazine, “It’s true. He was evicted last week and has been in the process of moving out.”

This is quite a different story from his heyday on the cable show. The family had built a custom home in Pennsylvania, but it all took a turn when his marriage went south in 2009 and the show ended in 2011.

Jon found himself unemployable after being the target of tabloid headlines. He has worked as a waiter and most recently, for a credit card company.

The source said the job only “lasted a few months. Now, he’s broke again.”

That is going to make life with his ex-wife even more difficult. Jon and Kate barely communicate because they ended their marriage on such bad terms. Now he has no place for his kids — twins Cara and Mady and sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Hannah, Collin, Leah and Joel — to sleep.

All of the kids currently live with Kate while Jon is on his own after breaking up with his girlfriend of two years, Liz Jannetta.

Jon Gosselin wants Kate to die

The insider revealed, “He and his girlfriend broke up a month or two ago. She moved.”

This latest setback certainly won’t help his situation with Kate. They still argue over whether it is appropriate for the kids to appear on TLC specials. The most recent episode, Kate Plus 8, aired last June. Jon thinks it’s stressful for the kids while Kate said the kids were “extremely excited” by the opportunity.

We are sure Kate is gloating somewhere today because she’s still got their big home, while Jon’s out there searching for his next humble abode.
