Dancing With the Stars loves to throw viewers for a loop or two every week. Monday’s show will be no different.
Instead of Erin Andrews co-hosting with Tom Bergeron, a former contestant is going to slip into an evening gown and interview the contestants and pros. Season 17’s Leah Remini is filling in for Andrews while she covers the World Series for Fox.
Cheryl Burke is leaving Dancing With the Stars
Remini spoke to E! News about her temporary gig. She exclaimed, “So excited to be back on the show, even more excited I don’t have to dance! I hope ABC has a delay, gonna speak my mind!”
The King of Queens star is known for just speaking off the cuff at any given moment, so producer Rob Wade is sure taking a risk. Remini will be the wild card factor for Monday’s show.
Help me co-host this Monday night with @Tom_Bergeron @DancingABC . What do YOU wanna know about the couples? #leahondwts19#DWTS

Remini had a successful season last fall, coming in fifth place with dancing pro Tony Dovolani. The two have remained close friends, and she is often seen in the audience cheering on the competitors.
INTERVIEW: Lea Thompson’s really nervous about getting voted off DWTS — but why?
Andrews isn’t the only one who will be absent from Monday night’s show. Len Goodman is still out of the judges’ seat. He takes multiple weeks off during the fall season so he can attend to his duties on the U.K. version of DWTS, Strictly Come Dancing. Goodman’s place will be filled by Pitbull, who is also performing his new single, “Fireball.”
The show is guaranteed to be one to tune into as contestants find out who will be eliminated after a one-week reprieve. They might be anxious, but we are guessing ABC‘s censors will also be at the ready to handle any loose-cannon comments Remini might make.
