For the second year in a row, Pitbull will take the stage as your host for the American Music Awards.

The show will air on Nov. 23. Not only will Pitbull host the show, he will also perform a song from his upcoming album, Globalization.
Dick Clark Productions, which produces the award show on ABC, made the announcement on Monday with the rapper.
“World, who would have thought Pitbull hosting the AMAs two years in a row,” Pitbull said in the statement. “The harder I work, the luckier I get. Thank you ABC and Dick Clark Productions for the amazing opportunity — more than anything, let’s get ready to have fun. Dale!”

The rough translation for the Spanish word dale is “do it” or “get it” and is a signature phrase for Pitbull, aka Armando Christian Perez.
Pitbull also took to Twitter to celebrate the exciting news.

AMA producer Larry Klein also commented on the announcement, saying, “Pitbull is a global superstar and multitalented powerhouse who delivered one of the most exciting shows in American Music Awards history when he hosted in 2013. This year will be no different. We’re working together to create elements of the show that will wow audiences and take the night to a whole new level.”

Pitbull definitely received praise from peers and fans for last year’s performance, which was noted for being lighthearted and funny thanks to the host.
The nominees for this year’s show have already been announced. Iggy Azalea leads the pack with six nominations. John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams all scored five nominations each, and Lorde has four.
