Aaron Paul thinks Barbies are more damaging than meth

Toys”R”Us has apparently decided to mess with the wrong cast. After the store announced it would be pulling the Breaking Bad action figures off the shelves, two major stars of the show have a little something to say about it.

And although toys that represent meth-making drug dealers may not exactly be family-friendly, Aaron Paul decided to add his two cents on Thursday, reminding the store they are already carrying toys that may be very damaging to children.

According to E! News, the issue began when a Florida mom started a petition on Change.org about the action figures, saying (in part), “Toys R Us is well known around the world for their vast selection of toys for children of all ages. However their decision to sell a Breaking Bad doll, complete with a detachable sack of cash and a bag of meth, alongside children’s toys is a dangerous deviation from their family friendly values.

“While the show may be compelling viewing for adults, its violent content and celebration of the drug trade make this collection unsuitable to be sold alongside Barbie dolls and Disney characters.”

Toys”R”Us released a (very short) statement about the removal of the toys, saying, “Let’s just say, the action figures have taken an ‘indefinite sabbatical.'”

Breaking Bad star, Bryan Cranston, responded to the controversy earlier this week, tweeting, “‘Florida mom petitions against Toys ‘R Us over Breaking Bad action figures.’ I’m so mad, I’m burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest.”

What side of this controversy are you on? Do you agree with the Breaking Bad stars or the Florida mom?
