Fall movies are here, and as much as we’re salivating for Mockingjay, there are few other flicks we definitely want to check out.

1. Interstellar
Starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, this sci-fi thriller suggests that humans need to leave Earth if we want to continue to prosper at the top of the food chain. A bold plan indeed, but will it work? We don’t know, but we’d certainly follow McConaughey to the end of the universe.
Interstellar blasts off Nov. 7.

2. The Theory of Everything
We’ve all heard of the theoretical physicist Steven Hawking (Eddie Redmayne), though few of us could explain in detail his theorems on gravitational singularity. Luckily, we don’t have to understand quantum physics to enjoy the new film The Theory of Everything because it primarily focuses on Hawking’s relationship with his first wife, Jane (Felicity Jones).
The Theory of Everything solves mysteries of the universe on Nov. 7.

3. Miss Meadows
Miss Meadows (Katie Holmes) may be your kid’s favorite teacher, but she has a dark secret: she’s also a vigilante! OK, we all know how little teachers get paid, but moonlighting as a hired killer? It’s just crazy enough for us to love this indie drama.
Miss Meadows loads her gun on Nov. 14.

4. Foxcatcher
This tragic true story of Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz gets really weird when billionaire John du Pont begins to sponsor the U.S. Wrestling Team. Steve Carell gives an amazing yet creepy performance as du Pont in this true-life crime drama.

5. The Imitation Game
You may not have heard of Alan Turing, but if you’re reading this on a computer, you have his brain to thank. Turing contributed greatly to early computer development. Hunky Benedict Cumberbatch plays the English logician who suffered immensely for his personal secrets.
The Imitation Game boots up on Nov. 21.

6. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Dormer kick things into high gear as the franchise we all know and love comes to an end. Mockingjay Part 1 has Katniss leading her troubled nation on a search for a better future — assuming such a thing exists in this dystopian universe.
