There is no denying that Kristen Stewart‘s Hollywood star has been on the rise over the past few years, and she has proven herself as a diverse and talented star. But according to a childhood friend, the recent changes have not been as positive as we thought.

According to Radar Online, one of the Camp X-Ray actress’ childhood friends has revealed that Stewart is a shadow of her former self.

“Kristen doesn’t even resemble the person that we knew from before she was with Rob [Pattinson],” the friend reportedly told the publication.

“She used to be a very low-key, cool girl,” the source said. “But her inflated ego has convinced her that even her childhood friends only want to hang out with her because of ‘who she is.'”

And apparently who she is these days is a very different person from the girl who was raised in Los Angeles, California, by parents in the entertainment industry. So different, in fact, that the source went on to say, “It’s really sad, and her friends are literally dropping like flies.”

The thing is, we have to consider that this may not be so much a case of an inflated ego, but rather that most people change as they get older, and your friends often tend to change, too. Perhaps what has really happened is that Stewart and her childhood friends’ lives have taken them in two very different directions.
