Poehler read quotes from Martin’s Game of Thrones books and asked the author to name the character that said the line. Turns out, it ain’t so easy to remember everything after you’ve written a few thousand pages, as Martin discovers.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be as knowledgeable as Martin to keep up with the characters. There’s an app for that. (No, seriously.)
Another side note — don’t miss out on noticing Martin’s adorable laugh as Poehler jokes along with the questions.
