Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are going country

Michael Douglas is going from city mouse to a country mouse. The Wall Street actor is packing it in and joining his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, in Bedford, New York. The rural area is where the Chicago actress lived during their separation.

Zeta-Jones sold her home for $7.5 million after spending most of her time there during the split. She was often seen riding horses on the estate.

The couple decided to upgrade to a new mansion which sports eight bedrooms and 18 bathrooms with plenty of land for Zeta-Jones’s equestrian activities. The property features a four-stall barn and is nearby Bedford Riding Lanes.

The family of four will be able to enjoy the estate’s two indoor pools, sauna, spa, steam room and gym if they get bored. Other amenities include a chef’s kitchen, a large garage and a greenhouse. The estate cost the Oscar-winning duo $11.25 million.

Douglas and Zeta-Jones reconciled earlier this year after struggling in their marriage. He was dealing with tongue cancer while she had to manage her bipolar disorder. Now that the two are stronger than ever, they might want to throw a party to welcome their new neighbor.

Bruce Willis will also be moving to the neighborhood as he recently bought two properties for $12 million for his growing family. He will be living in an 8,000-square-foot home with gorgeous views of the Hudson Highlands mountains and a nearby reservoir.

He and his wife, Emma Heming, will enjoy a climate-controlled wine cellar along with a pool and heated cabana. The second property boasts eight acres of land, an antique home and two guest cottages.

Those are going to be some amazing block parties next summer.
