Jay Leno is returning to The Tonight Show.

But not to steal the host chair from Jimmy Fallon. This time, he’ll be sitting in the guest spot.

Fallon will welcome Leno this Friday, Nov. 7 on the NBC late-night show. Though Leno hasn’t appeared on the show since he left in February, he did make a cameo in Fallon’s Tonight Show parody of House of Cards, aptly titled “House of Cue Cards,” which aired in August.

We don’t want to give it away, but Leno appears at the end of the skit. See the full segment below.

Though Leno has been out of The Tonight Show spotlight since leaving the show, he’s been far from out of the Hollywood scene. He was recently honored with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The ceremony showcasing the award will air on PBS Nov. 23.

Leno is also developing a new series called Jay Leno’s Garage, which is scheduled to premiere on CNBC in 2015. As the title suggests, the show will focus on automobiles and, since Jay Leno has a car collection that extends to hundreds of vehicles, we can’t think of anyone better to head a show like this.

“This show will be about anything that rolls, explodes and makes noise,” Leno told Access Hollywood a few weeks ago. “We hope to highlight the passion and the stories behind men and women who made the automobile the greatest invention of the 20th century.”
