Selena Gomez‘s new video for “The Heart Wants What It Wants” is out, and while she doesn’t directly say so, it’s super-obvious the song is about her infamous here today, gone tomorrow boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
The love-struck singer begins the video with a voice-over, detailing what happened with a boyfriend (or Bieber), and explains how well she believed to know this apparently insensitive guy, who she thought would never hurt her.

“But I didn’t realize that I’m feeling so confident and feeling so great about myself… and then it’d just be completely shattered by one thing, by something so stupid,” Gomez says breaking down in tears. “But then you make feel crazy, you make me feel like it’s my fault. I was in pain.”
Then, the video breaks into song as Gomez goes on describing her feelings about her disappearing love. “The bed’s getting cold and you’re not here. The future that we hold is so unclear,” she sings. Next, Gomez goes into a party wearing her jacket halfway on, à la the Biebs, and keeps on singing as she clings to a guy who looks like Bieber (if he was 10 years older with a goatee).
Are Selena Gomez’s cryptic tweets about Justin Bieber?
The guy goes back and forth, from caressing her face to ignoring her and making annoyed faces. Then, we see several make-out sessions between the pair, some in the car, others in a house where it looks like Bieber’s Calabasas home party took place.

“There’s a million reasons why I should give you up,” Gomez sings. “But the heart wants what it wants, the heart wants what it wants.”
Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez get steamy on the dance floor
In the end, Gomez is seen walking away from the party as her make-out memories continue to appear. The party goes on as the guy looks upset on a couch, and as Gomez sits outside crying. Then, she leaves and heads for the beach, wearing her jacket all the way on and by herself.
