Current Top Chef contestant Aaron Grissom went for a quick trip from the kitchen to the slammer after he allegedly hurt his girlfriend on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

The reality star was reportedly fighting with his girlfriend at his home in Los Angeles when things got out of hand, TMZ reported. Grissom, who has a reputation for being very argumentative on the popular cooking show, allegedly pushed his girlfriend and injured her knee in the process.
The combative cook was arrested at about 1:15 p.m. and booked on suspicion of felony domestic violence in the Los Angeles area of San Fernando Valley. He was released after posting bail for $50,000, the sheriff’s department said.

Presently, Grissom is working at a Latin cuisine restaurant called Bow & Truss in North Hollywood, although he states on his Facebook page that he’s a “freelance Top Chef looking for a place to call home…,” the New York Daily News revealed. Looks like he may have to start looking sooner than later, if his current employer decides to fire him after this incident.
Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Grissom has rapidly become the villain of Top Chef‘s latest season, often cursing and yelling at the other contestants. He is also constantly giving unwanted opinions, angering everyone on set.

Trying to clean up his image, Grissom attempted to explain his attitude and bad rap on Facebook a couple of weeks ago, saying, “I blame any of my poor behavior on: 1. Watching @BravoRHOC 2. Getting too jacked up in @mtn_dew 3. Rap music #imhuman #notflawless #TopChef.”
We’re left wondering how he will explain getting arrested for supposedly beating up his girlfriend.
