There are many celebs who have, unfortunately, had some very creepy encounters with a crazed fan. However, Rihanna‘s stalker poses a deadly threat to the star.
John Lennon’s killer up for parole for the eighth time
A New York City, New York, judge has just compared the man who has been stalking Rihanna to that of Mark David Chapman, the man who shot and killed The Beatles star John Lennon outside the Dakota apartment building in New York City in 1980.
According to the Daily Mail, the pop star’s stalker, Kevin McGlynn, has shown very similar obsessive traits to Chapman. Judge Orlando Marrazzo recently referred to McGlynn as “severely psychotic and delusional” and denied his request for release from a psychiatric hospital.

Marrazzo went on to say McGlynn “appears to be a ticking time bomb who is wholly fixated on (Rihanna), and poses a direct threat of serious physical harm or death to her and anyone around her.”
“It is entirely foreseeable that if he were free to continue to act upon his psychotic delusions without this court’s intervention, it may result in the death of (Rihanna) or other innocent persons,” Marrazzo warned.
McGlynn was previously arrested after he was found lurking around the “Diamonds” hit maker’s Manhattan, New York City, home and was admitted to a psychiatric hospital in Staten Island; he was later transferred to the South Beach Psychiatric Center, the Daily Mail reports.

According to Reuters, Marrazzo said McGlynn “wrote a series of notes to the singer that made references to murder and sexual assault. He also accused Rihanna and other artists of using his material in their songs.”
We hope Rihanna is kept safe from McGlynn and other obsessed fans like him. This just proves there is, unfortunately, a very dangerous and dark side to fame!
