There’s no denying Jennifer Lawrence is a seriously talented actress, but when it comes to singing, well, let’s just say her voice needs some work!

The Hunger Games star recently stopped by the Late ShowWith David Letterman and explained to the show’s host just how unappealing her singing voice is, but she did not realize this until she was much older.
However, the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 actress is now fully aware of the fact that she cannot sing, although she had to in the latest installment of The Hunger Games franchise.
“I do not like singing in front of other people, that’s like my biggest fear,” Lawrence told Letterman. “I cried on set that day. I’m scarred from my childhood.”

“I have a Southern mother that used to tell me I was amazing at everything, and I could do everything, but I can’t,” she explained. “I had this tone-deaf-Amy-Winehouse voice and I sang in front of the school when I was eight, because I thought I could.”
She added, “My dad laughed for the entire week! I’d hear him around the house, imitating me. I hate it, I hate it!”
Lawrence and Letterman then decided it would be a good idea to engage in a little duet, and it wasn’t pretty!
She really does sound like the Grinch (at least on her segment with Letterman she does), but the fact that Lawrence is willing to make fun of herself — and give us a great laugh while doing it — really makes us love her even more!
