Bravo’s first foray into scripted television, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, which stars Lisa Edelstein and Paul Adelstein, is about to hit our screens, and Lisa Edelstein herself is giving us an exclusive look at what we can expect.
Move over, Kimye: House star Lisa Edelstein is married!
According to Bravo, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce “follows Abby McCarthy (Edelstein), a self-help book author and guru of all things family, who shocks the world when she reveals that her seemingly perfect life has all been a lie. After publicly admitting she has separated from her husband, Jake (Adelstein), America’s once-favorite girlfriend finds her career and marriage in free fall.”
In this exclusive video, Lisa Edelstein and her humor-infused tour of the show’s various sets are reminding us all why we need to be BFFs with her ASAP.
According to Lisa, her character is yet to entertain a gentleman caller at the house (oddly enough, the last time she was a series regular on a show the gentleman caller was a man named House). Um, has she shown prospective hookups photos of her house? Because there would be a line at the door if she did.
Bravo TV star shuts down Times Square for proposal
Between the papa bear chair (no, we haven’t sat in one, and yes, we’d very much like to), the reflecting pool (which is currently reflecting our self-loathing at the fact we don’t have a reflecting pool), the bathtub with a depth that apparently goes to the core of the earth and that shag rug we also want to roll around in, this house is the pinnacle of houses. If you were a house, you’d want to be this one. To be honest, we’d watch this show for the house alone.
Lisa’s favorite part of the set, though? The jumbo paper clips. “They please me,” she says, and you please us, Lisa, is what we have to say about that. And, also, where can we purchase a copy of Henry the ADHD Hippo? Looks like a real thriller.
Ladies of London‘s Caprice Bourret on the season finale and “surprise” story lines
After watching this video, we’re pretty keen to check out the show, which premieres on Bravo on Tuesday, Dec. 2, and see how its engaging star navigates its engaging concept. We’re also pretty relieved Adelstein and Edelstein aren’t together in real life because the similarity of their names would make it really hard to come up with a decent shipper name for them.
