Scott Stapp, the lead singer of popular ’90s Christian rock band Creed, has just posted a very upsetting video on his Facebook page.

The “Can You Take Me Higher” hit maker posted a cry for help as he revealed that he is in such a desperate situation and that he is so broke that he was forced to go days without any money or food.
Taking to Facebook on Wednesday, Stapp posted a 15-minute-long video in which he explains his dire situation, telling fans that he is homeless and has been living in his truck for a few weeks but is now fortunate enough to be staying in a Holiday Inn.
So what went so horribly wrong? Stapp blames the federal government, claiming that an audit went wrong and that the IRS has seized every last cent of his cash.

“I’m under some kind of pretty vicious attack,” Stapp says in the clip. “I still haven’t figured out the reasons why, except that about eight weeks ago I began an audit… During the course of [the] audit a lot of things were uncovered. A lot of money was stolen from me.
“There are people who have taken advantage and stolen money from me and they are trying to discredit me,” he continued.
“The IRS has frozen my bank accounts two or three times to leave me completely penniless. I don’t understand why all of this is happening at the same time. When I called to find out why, they said, ‘Oh we had an address mix-up. It was a clerical error. We’ll return your funds in nine to 10 months.’ I don’t understand how that’s fair in America.”
The singer also went on to reassure his friends and family that he is still sober.
“If any of you guys were worried, just know, I’m sober. I’m safe as of right now. Don’t believe any lies, and just know the truth will prevail.”

According to TMZ, Stapp has also claimed that his wife, who has filed for divorce, is also out to get him and wants him committed, having falsely accused him of doing drugs and showing signs of paranoia.
