The City of Toronto Award for Best Canadian Feature Film

The powerful and moving film by Denis Villeneuve, Incendies, took this award for TIFF 2010. Based on family life post-war, the film analyzes what it means to carve out identities and a sense of self after enduring war. Villeneuve was awarded a $30,000 cash prize for his film.
