There has been a lot of talk about this Warrior — Dare we say it is the next “Rocky”? I can’t wait for the release of this one.

Two estranged brothers are reunited…to fight the fight of their lives – against each other! The MMA championship with the largest purse in the history of the sport is at stake. Nick Nolte plays their father. He happens to be the best MMA coach in Pittsburgh and an ex-boxer.

The catch — he only coaches ONE of his sons, Tommy (Tom Hardy), an ex-Marine who is trying to recover from a very troubling past. Tommy fights his way to the top and seems unstoppable. That is, until he meets his match in his estranged brother Brendan (Joel Edgerton) who has returned to MMA after having a rough go making ends meet as a school teacher. Brendan is the underdog, re-entering MMA as an amateur but soon learns that he is meant for bigger fights. Against the wishes of his wife, Brendan puts everything he’s got into MMA and ends up…face to face with his brother.

Not only is MMA (mixed martial arts) one of today’s fastest growing sports, it is also one of the most controversial. This movie will not be for everyone, especially if you don’t like violence. I, for one, am very much looking forward to seeing this movie. I’m a huge fan of MMA and the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and feel that not only will this movie be filled with action and drama, but will broaden the fan-base for the sport.
