The 39th Annual American Music Awards were held at the Nokia Theater on Sunday night and Taylor Swift walked away the winner again.

Last night at the 39th annual American Music Awards, several artists walked away with awards, but Taylor Swift was the big winner not only winning three awards, but winning Artist of the Year for the second time. Taylor Swift’s three awards included Artists of the Year, Country Female Artist and Country Album for her new album “Speak Now”. Taylor Swift also won Entertainer of the Year earlier this month at the Country Music Awards.
Adele won despite not appearing
Adele, a British singer and song writer led the nominations this year with four total, also winning three. Her awards included Adult Contemporary Artist, Pop/Rock Female Artist, and New Artist of the Year. Adele was not able to make the award show however since she is because she is recovering at home following throat surgery.
Other winners included Casting Crowns for Contemporary Inspirational Artist, Blake Shelton for Country Male Artist and Jennifer Lopez for Latin Music Artist. The full list of winners is below.
