Jackson kids honour their dad

The late King of Pop will always be remembered, thanks in part to his children, who cemented their father’s legacy in a special ceremony.

Michael Jackson will always be known as the King of Pop — and now his kids are making sure that he will be remembered forever.

According to the NY Daily News, the icon’s three children, 13-year-old daughter Paris and two sons, Prince, 14, and Blanket, 9, immortalized their father’s iconic sequined glove and shoes, leaving imprints in the cement at Hollywood attraction Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

Prince spoke at the ceremony, remembering his dad saying that this celebration was what his dad would have striven for.

“My dad won the lifetime achievement award. It was an award he strived and worked the hardest to get, but for me, and I think for him as well, this right here is his lifetime achievement award,” said the eldest of the siblings.

Michael Jackson‘s family, including his mother Katherine and brother Tito, was also present for the tribute. As well, some celebrities showed their respect for the late musician by attending the event: among others, music producer Quincy Jones, comedian Chris Tucker and Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.

Bieber, who has always described Michael Jackson as his music idol and role model, also shared his thoughts about this achievement, saying that he wants to be as good as Michael.

“I want to have that perfection, I want to, you know, be the best I can be. That’s what Michael did. He always wanted to be the best he could be.”
