It looks like The X Factor may be on the hunt for a new host and judges after Paula, Nicole and Steve depart from the hit reality show.
Looks like Nicole and Paula don’t have the X Factor after all.
The hit reality music competition will be undergoing some major changes with its host and judges after it has been reported that Pussycat Doll Nicole Sherzinger and former American Idol host and darling, Paula Abdul, will not be returning for the second season for The X Factor U.S.A. Also parting ways will be the enthusiastic Welsh presenter, Steve Jones.
According to E! Online, sources have said that Simon’s favorite frenemy, Paula Abdul, was booted from the show because she “won’t be needed for the next installment of the series.” How sad, considering that most people watch the flirtatious bantering between the two. While Paula’s departure has not been officially confirmed by Paula herself, Nicole and Steve have confirmed their shocking news. Steve took to his Twitter to spill the news.
“I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I can’t complain as I’ve had a great time,” tweeted Steve.
As for Nicole’s reason for leaving the U.S. version of the British franchise – she wants to focus on her music career and a source said that would be impossible with the busy schedule of the show.
“X Factor took a lot more of her time than she ever expected,” said a source according to E!Online. “She didn’t have any time really to work on her music.”
Both Steve and Nicole’s decisions’ have been amicable and supported by Fox, but it seems like once again, Paula is left in the dark about what went wrong. Poor Paula.
